Magical Bathtub Cleaner & War

I've been on Pinterest a lot lately.
I'm also going through this Spring cleaning phase too.
We are hoping to move to a town home in July sometime. And for some reason we've been having a roach problem at our apartment and that's a long story. First, I want to say that I'm a neat freak so this should not be happening. In short, we took down our bathroom mirror and there is a huge hole behind it. Roaches have been crawling in through there and I have no idea if its a nest or what. I taped over it until they come fix it up. I've been so frustrated as I've seen many roaches in the past week as I get up to go to the bath room at 3am. Therefore, I'm cleaning and spraying Raid along all edges, windows, any place I deem necessary as I wait for a visit from the bug man. Scanning pinterest for the best bug and cleaning remedies..
And so, I have discovered the best bathtub cleaner on Pinterest.
Here's how to:
Get yourself an empty squirt bottle.
Mix 1 parts Blue Dawn Dish Soap &
2 parts White Distilled Vinegar!
Shake Shake Shake it up.
Ready, Set, Clean.

This is a magical formula. I sprayed it all over the tub... let it sit about 20 minutes and came back with a sponge to scrub. It was amazing and got out stains that I was unable to remove with 409 and Kaboom. All I have to say is...One bathroom clean, on to the other bathroom tomorrow... yay!

Due to the fact, that I in no way invented this... I will give credit to this blog (Life Crafts & Whatever!)
Yay! So excited for cleanliness. Pray that the bugs go away. I feel at war for my apartment. Luckily, we'll be out of here in about 2 months.
That's all for today! Thanks for stoppin' by:
xoxo Jen.

Couponing & Saving some $$$

Who likes saving money?
Who likes sales?
Well me too.

I've never been that great at couponing but today I can officially say "I did it!" I successfully couponed at CVS and saved over half my bill. A few weeks ago, I went to Publix and saved about 1/3 of my bill.. Here's the receipt:
Actual Price: $190.23
Total Saved: $63.53
Total actually paid: $126.70

That was good but not the absolute best. I knew I could do a little bit better. I look at the ads at CVS and Publix every week. We pick up two newspapers and clip all the coupons out of them... even the ones we think that we probably won't use (because you never know).
The key for me to save the most is to look at the ads of what is already on sale and use coupons on top of Buy One Get One FREE type of deal. So let me show you what I got today:
2 packs of Gushers fruit snacks, 2 packs of Dole peaches fruit cups, 2 Welch's white grape juice, 1 T.G. Lee milk, 2 Arizona brand Teas, Colgate toothpaste and 2 Colgate manual Toothbrushes.
Actual Price: $36.08
Total Saved: $23.28
Total Actually paid: $12.80

So let me explain how I did it. I started couponing about 2 weeks ago at CVS and after my last purchase, I had 3 "Extra-Care Bucks" to spend for my next visit. If you have a CVS card, you get all the deals in the ad... and sometimes if you buy certain items they give you money back in the form of "CVS Extra-Care bucks" on the bottom of your receipt, which helps you save soo much!

So today, I mapped out all the deals before church and got the coupons ready. We did two separate purchases at CVS:
And that's all! Just wanted to share my amazing savings...
To learn how to coupon, check out Southernsavers.com! She taught me everything I know!
Also, here is post I did way back when... when I first started to learn to coupon. It has a bunch of wonderful links that will help you! If you are couponing at CVS, don't forget that all the new deals come out every Sunday! Happy Couponing and hope you had a great weekend!

The easy way to hang a picture STRAIGHT

Welp, again, I got caught up with life. So much is going on. I can't promise that I will be posting as regularly until the end of April. but come Summer, I'll be back daily. So hang in there folks.
Two weekends ago my mom came to visit and bought us two pictures to spice up our bathroom! I love them! So this past weekend, I hung them up Thanks to Pinterest:

I found this on Pinterest a while ago:
She explains how to hang pictures perfectly straight and exactly where you want them!
You can go to her blog here!

Well I wasn't making a gallery wall but I was hanging two pictures side by side. I measured the space with a tape measure. Here is a picture of the space... right above the toilet.
Then I got out some wax paper and laid the pictures down upside down. I measured how far a part I wanted them. Marked the paper where the frames would be.
like this. I didn't even have to use that much wax paper.
After I marked exactly where the nails would need to go on the paper.. I was set.
I took the paper, level, hammer and nails into the bathroom.
I taped the wax paper exactly where I needed it to hang until I got the nails in.
I also made sure to measure the length of the frames so I put them high enough that they didn't hit the towel bar.
And now... Finally! Here they are!
This turned out to be so easy! Simple. You have to try it the next time you are hanging pictures next to one another! That's all I have for today! Go get your picture hanging on!
Thanks for stopping by! :)
