Easy & Crafty Clothespin Magnets!

So I made these a month or so ago. I had a massive amount of clothespins from a game at a bachelorette party we played with one of my friends... I've been needing some more magnets for the fridge to hang bills, letters etc. so all I did was
1. Glue magnets on one side of the clothes-pins
2. I cut and glued some paper on one side of the clothes-pins
3. Decorate! I found some stickers and ribbon and applied them to the front!
4. Gave them 24-hours to dry! &  Loves it!
Here's more pictures!

Another great idea instead of gluing paper to the front of the clothespins would be to paint them.. Also here are some other awesome to do with clothespins found on my favorite site.. pinterest
so many cool things to do with clothespins!
Now go be crafty! & Thanks for stoppin by!

The Importance of Thank You.

(pinned here)
First of all, I must say THANK YOU to all the visitors of my blog as well as all of my new and old followers! I've only been blogging since early August and I have followers.. this is so awesome and I feel so loved!
I had my first bridal shower this weekend and school has been busy so I'm so sorry I have not updated. I hate when things get so busy that I avoid the blog.. It can be something that you put off and put off until finally I say to myself, "Jenna, get with the program and update!"
Anyways, when it comes to the Bridal Shower.. I will have pictures to share as soon as my photographer edits them.. Check out her beautiful site.. mariannegreig.com!
On a different note, I feel like we can never say "Thank You" enough. I saw this print on Pinterest that really resonated with me so here it is:
Gosh, I need to be more thankful to God for all the gifts in my life... and thank him on a more regular basis... and on that same note, I have a ton of thank-you cards to write from my awesome bridal shower this weekend! My mom found this great website that helps in writing thank-you cards here!
I am totally going to be using those tips..
Now-a-days people don't really write thank-you notes! I feel that they are so important. I will continue to do so and teach my future kids to do the same. Letting others know how thankful you are is so important and it helps you to look at each day in a positive way.
I am so thankful for my awesome sweet baby fiance (Noland), my mom, my family, my soon-to-be family, my friends (new & old) and just the gift of life! Just some personal reflections on being thankful! I'll post a good ole' craft tomorrow!
& just because they are cute.. here are 2 pictures of my nephews at their b-day party this past weekend:
Oh... & Thanks for stoppin' by!
xoxo Jen.

Glazed Doughnut Muffins

Found this recipe here. and they are so yummy!
So here we go:
Ingredients:

For the Muffins:
1/4 cup butter
1/4 cup vegetable oil
1/2 cup granulated sugar
1/3 cup brown sugar
2 large eggs
1 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
1/4 teaspoon baking soda
3/4 teaspoon of ground nutmeg
1 teaspoon cinnamon
3/4 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
2 2/3 cups all-purpose flour
1 cup milk

For the Glaze:
3 tablespoons butter; melted
1 cup confectioners' sugar, sifted
3/4 teaspoon vanilla
2 tablespoons hot water

Directions:
1. Preheat the Oven to 425 degrees F. Line 12 muffin cups with muffin liners or spray nonstick cooking spray.
2. Beat together butter, vegetable oil, and sugars until smooth.
3.  Beat in eggs, on at a time. Then add baking powder, baking soda, nutmeg, cinnamon, salt and vanilla until just combined. Stir the flour into the butter mixture alternately with the milk, beginning and ending with the flour and making sure everything is thoroughly combined.

4. Spoon batter into cups, filling the cups, and smooth tops. Divide batter equally among prepared muffin cups.
5. Bake until muffin tops are pale golden and springy to the touch, 15 to 17 minutes, rotating the pan halfway through baking time. Cool muffin tin for 10 minutes before transferring to a wire rack and glazing.
6. Make the glaze in a medium bowl. Mix together: melted butter, confectioners' sugar, vanilla and water. Whisk until smooth.
7. When muffins have cooled slightly, dip the muffin crown into the glaze and allow the glaze to harden then serve. [the original recipe says to dip them twice, but I just spinned dipped them and only needed to dip them once].

These are so tasty especially with a morning cup of coffee! So make some of this delicious-ness and let me know what you think! :)

Heaven is For Real

The Book Review of:
Gosh! I loved this book. I've been needing a little break from my school readings, so I picked this book up off my little bookshelf yesterday and started reading so Noland could watch sports (I was tired of TV)... It was a quick read because I finished it today!

The story: is about 4-year-old Colton Burpo gets really sick with appendicitis. He has 3 emergency surgeries and during one of them has a visit to heaven for 3 minutes. This story is told by his father, Todd who learns piece by piece details of Colton's visit to Heaven through many different conversations months after his surgeries. Colton, time and time again, proves his story really happened with some startling finds for example, he gave exact locations of his parents while he was in surgery and asleep. He describes Heaven from a 4-year-old point of view and it really captures readers.

Inspiration: This story is inspiring! After putting the book down, I feel like I want to be a better person. Not that I am a bad person now but I want to try harder in the little things. I know God and Heaven are real but this story really puts a new perspective on it. It makes Jesus human and real (even though I already knew he was human and real)..if that makes sense.. It calls us to be mindful of our faults and try to correct them because the Lord is here and more present than we realize.
Here is an excerpt from the book:

For more info on the Burpos, you can check out their website here: http://heavenisforreal.net/
Here's a video of Colton and Todd's appearance on Fox News:
This is just such a touching story. You all should totally read this book! I loved it!
That's all for today! :)

Thank God for Grandparents

Today I'm going to a different kind of blog post than the typical DIY craft or recipe. This is more personal. I wish I was an eloquent writer then I could describe what I want to say in the best way.
Mother Teresa rejoicing in the gift of life of a beautiful baby.
Life is so precious. Every day is a gift. Enjoy each day and live it to the fullest because you may not have tomorrow. I say this not as some little cutesy saying but as a fact.
Yesterday my grandfather's cousin and best friend passed away. I saw him about a month ago when he came to visit our family. It is just so weird and difficult to grasp that now he's gone but this I know...
God has a plan for each of us... and all plans begin and end in His time.
Although that can be difficult to grasp at times, I trust in the Lord. For he knows far better than I what is best for you and me.
On a different note I wanted to do a little ode to my grandpa and say...
Thank God for Grandparents
Not everyone has them. Those of us who are blessed with grandparents, even if its for a short time should take pleasure in their company and give thanks for the opportunity to know and love them. My grandma passed when I was in third grade and my grandpa moved near us soon after. I'm so thankful that he has been a part of my life growing up and blessed to know such a good man. He is one of the kindest people I know and would give you the shirt off his back. That's why I wanted to do a little tribute to him today saying Thank God for Grandparents. I just love spending time with him and hearing about his life when he was my age.
Just thinking of him today as he copes with the loss of his cousin and friend-- wishing I could be there to play cards with him and cheer him up.
here's me, my brother and grandpa playing cards around the holidays.
He taught us card games since we were little.
