During this countdown, I have been releasing ten songs at a time that I think will make you smile. I have ranked them and the ones most likely to make you smile will be released last. Let's look at which songs have appeared so far before we get into the Top 10.

10. Hakuna Matata – The Lion King

We have discussed this song before and it fits perfectly in this countdown. The easiest way to smile is to have no worries. Fantastic song.

9. Don’ Stop Believin' - Journey

I don't think Journey realized how big this song was going to get. It also seemed to have somewhat of a resurgence around 10 or 15 years ago. People started listening to it a lot more again. Eventhough this song was older than some of the people at parties in college, I heard this song at 95% of the parties I have ever been to.

8. Something Beautiful - Needtobreathe

This was another one of mine and Jenna's songs. It is the best one by Needtobreathe and if you have been paying attention to this countdown, that means a lot. These guys are one of our favorite artists if not our very favorite. Great band and great song.

7. Sweet Child Of Mine – Guns N’ Roses

This song is the best by this band in my opinion and it isn't really close. It always puts me in a fantastic mood. Especially when I think of my sweet child. Another great opportunity to smile is when you think of this song being sung in Step Brothers like the photo above.

6. When You Wish Upon A Star – The Disney Theme

The official theme song of Disney. When you hear it, you think of Disney World or Disney Land depending on where you live. Everybody smiles when they think of those places.

5. Don’t Worry, Be Happy – Bobby McFerrin

This song is very self explanatory.

4. On Top Of The World – Imagine Dragons

This song is the happiest by Imagine Dragons and that is saying something. This band is pretty positive. Great band and great song.

3. Happy - Pharrell Williams

A lot of people were probably expecting this song to be number 1 and it definitely could have been. It is simply fantastic and I am glad that it has been so inspirational. I just couldn't put it above my top 2, but have no problem if its your #1.

2. Smile – Uncle Kracker

This song is so fantastic. It also happens to be mine and Jenna's song. We danced to it at our wedding so it probably holds a little extra weight to us. However, we liked it and smiled to it long before that happened. Now, you will too.

1. This Little Light Of Mine

This song had to be number 1 on the countdown. It is the name of the blog after all. This song serves as a revamp for the blog that my beautiful wife has recently upgraded. She wants this blog to be inspirational, uplifting, and helpful. This whole countdown was meant to do that as well and we always try to keep it positive (when possible). There are only 20 songs left on this countdown of songs to make you smile. These songs are all brilliant and should help you crack that smile.

20. Friends Theme

Everyone and their mother watched Friends and loved it. They also loved the theme song. It brought families together and they loved the show. At least I think it did.

19. Kokomo – The Beach Boys

My favorite Beach Boys song and the happiest in my opinion. Fantastic.

18. Ain’t No Mountain High Enough

This song was best during the amazing movie Remember the Titans. However, it was great long before that. It was good to see my generation exposed to such a great song. Actually, the whole soundtrack was quite good for this movie.

17. Under the Sea - Sebastian

The best and happiest part of one of the greatest Disney movies. Great song.

16. Walking on Sunshine – Katrina and the Waves

Another fantastic song. If others were making this list, this one would probably be in the Top 10, but they are not...

15. Hey Ya!- Outkast

Andre 3000 really showed off a lot of musical talent with Hey Ya! He showed something fantastic and the world appreciated it. One of the greatest songs of all-time. It's simple and fantastic.

14. Crazy Bird – Wild Child

One of my friends since second grade is the drummer behind this band that is blowing up. I am so proud of him and this band and wanted to put them on this countdown so our followers could see how excellent they are.

13. Chicken Fried – Zac Brown Band

Such a simple and perfect song. This is the song that really opened me up to country music other than Blake Shelton and Carrie Underwood. Before this song I liked about 5 country artists. However, this song opened up the genre to me and I started to like more.

12. Mr.Jones – The Counting Crows

This is one of the most lasting songs from the entire decade of the 90s which was the decade where much of my musical taste came from. The song and the band are fantastic.

11. We Are The Champions - Queen

There isn't much better than celebrating the fact that you are the champion. Every time my team has won a championship, somebody does not wait long until they play this song. This year two of my teams won the big title in the FSU Seminoles and the San Antonio Spurs. Thinking about that makes me very happy and smile.

30. Barbara Ann – The Beach Boys

This was one of the first songs that Noland learned to sing because its easy to say bababababa and it sounds really funny when you are a kid. We always smile when we sing it together. One of the classics.

29. I Just Can’t Wait To Be King – Simba

This song ought to take you back to your childhood. It should make you get up and ready to dance and it is the best part of the Philar Magic show at Disney World. The song is universally regarded as a Top 10 Disney song. Just a fantastic song overall.

28. Jumper – Third Eye Blind

Everyone knows and loves this song. I am not sure everyone knows it is by Third Eye Blind, but everyone has sung it before and everyone loves it. The song has been used several times in pop culture and is just brilliant writing.

27. What A Wonderful World – Louis Armstrong

Songs don't get much better than this. Pure brilliance.

26. Three Little Birds – Bob Marley

Don't worry about a thing, just smile and enjoy this musical masterpiece.

25. In Summer - Olaf

Best part of Frozen and its not close in my opinion. Just fantastic. You cannot help but smile at this great song.

24. It’s Time – Imagine Dragons

This is one of the greatest songs in modern music. These guys are the best popular newer artist going today. Everyone in my house cannot get enough of Imagine Dragons. They just make terrific music. One of their better songs is this one.

23. Hey, Soul Sister - Train

Just try not smiling when this song comes on. You can't do it. This song is another piece of excellence from a terrific band. There are many people who love these guys and I am one. I will admit that while this is not my favorite Train song, it does make me smile the most.

22. The Twist – Chubby Checker

We saw Chubby Checker recently at Epcot and he still puts on a fantastic show after all these years. This is by far his best song and we have heard it at several weddings we have been to. Everyone seems to love this brilliant piece of music.

21. Better Together - Jack Johnson

Another winner written by Jack Johnson. He is simply fantastic when it comes to songs making you smile.

We have now gotten into the Top 40 of this countdown of 100 Songs to Make You Smile. These songs should make you show those pearly whites.

40. Say Hey(I Love You) – Michael Franti

This song is just so happy and awesome. It is simply fantastic. There is no other way to say it. I hear this song and it just is an instant smile. Hope it has the same effect on you.

39. Circle of Life

You can easily argue that this is the 2nd best song that has ever appeared in a Disney movie. It is the one song that might even be able to challenge the theme song. It is fantastic and makes you think of one of the greatest movies of all time. 

38. Good Vibrations – The Beach Boys

Just think about good vibrations. This is a great and happy song by the Beach Boys.

37. Mrs.Robinson – Simon and Garfunkel

As a kid I just loved this song because it had my name in it and I thought the song was about my mom. Now I know it wasn't, but I still think this song is great. This is one of the few songs though that I think the remake by the Lemonheads is better than the original. Still, I quite enjoy this song.

36. Never Let You Go – Third Eye Blind

This is one of the biggest songs that 3EB had. It is also one of the more upbeat ones with a pretty good message too. This song is great.

35. Your Grace Is Enough – Matt Maher

This is one of the best praise and worship songs there is. You can tell Jenna and I quite enjoy Matt Maher. The song is just really good.

34. Here Comes the Sun – The Beatles

Another great and happy song by The Beatles.

33. One Week– The Barenaked Ladies

Are those the right words? Not many people know, but everyone does know that they love this song.

32. DuckTales Theme

If you do not love this theme song, there is something wrong with you. Btw you are welcome for this song being stuck in your head the rest of the day.

31. Wagon Wheel - Old Crow Medicine Show

A lot of people now think this was Darius Rucker's song, but it was originally written by Old Crow Medicine Show. I am not sure if I prefer one version to the other actually, but I thought I'd put the original song on this countdown. One of the best country songs I have ever heard.

50. Wouldn’t It Be Nice – The Beach Boys

This song has such a joyful vibe to it as it just sounds happy. The words don't make me smile that much, but this song is just happy.

49. Every Little Thing She Does Is Magic – The Police

This is perhaps the best song that the Police put together. It is such pure greatness. The song also makes me think of my perfect wife and definitely makes me smile.

48. Washed By The Water - Needtobreathe

Do you think we enjoy Needtobreathe? This song is just amazing. It is very uplifting and hopeful as well.

47. I Want To Hold Your Hand – The Beatles

Easily my favorite song by the Beatles. It is so joyful.

46. I Have A Dream – Mandy Moore

The best part of one of Disney's best songs. Mandy Moore was fantastic as a Disney princess. My favorite part of the song and the movie is when big Vladimir has the ceramic unicorns.

45. If It Makes You Happy – Sheryl Crow

This song is more from when Sheryl Crow was more of a rocker than a pop artist. It is more aggressive than soak up the sun, but she does a great job with it. The song makes you smile and think about things that make you happy. Things that make you happy usually aren't that bad either, usually. People are a little too sad for no reason.

44. Rebels of the Sacred Heart - Flogging Molly

This song is much different than the majority of this list. However, it is also a better song than a lot of these other songs as well. Flogging Molly is a terrific band and everyone should enjoy these guys. They are just great. This song makes my whole family and my son thrilled and ready to go wild so it should do the same for you.

43. Happy Days Theme

This may be the best theme song ever. It makes everyone so happy and smile. I love it and you do to. You also love the Fonz and the rest of this show.

42. God Gave Me You – Blake Shelton

This song is pure perfection. It is just fantastic.

41. America, the Beautiful - Ray Charles

This song is so patriotic, fantastic, and amazing. Ray Charles was an absolute genius and killed it with this rendition of America, the Beautiful. This song should really be higher up on the list, but I was feeling quite patriotic today and wanted to post it now.
